  • Low Back Pain

    We recognise low back pain can be significantly impacting to life, work and sleep. Whether you have acute or chronic pain we can help to reduce your symptoms and return you fitter and stronger than previously

    We will determine the source of your symptoms. Treat you using manual therapy/mobilisation of your spine, exercises and acupuncture, where appropriate, with the ultimate aim of reducing the pain returning you to your previous level of function.

    Back pain may also include pain in your glutes, or down your leg (sometimes called sciatica) these will all be considered in the assessment.

  • Muscle and Tendon

    Muscle and Tendon problems can be either acute or chronic. We will assess the muscle/tendon length and strength whilst considering activation patterns and movement strategies. Having assessed and diagnosed the problem, we will use soft tissue techniques, acupuncture and a structured rehab programme to reduce the pain and return you to full function and activity.   

  • Sports Injuries

    Having a sports injury is very frustrating. When you book an appointment you can expect an injury diagnosis, treatment which will include some hands on physio, a personalised rehab progressive rehab programme and possibly the use of acupuncture. Once you have healed and regained strength and mobility you will return to your sport safely. You will also gain knowledge in preventative strategies to avoid the same injury reoccurring. You can expect your performance to be enhanced!

  • Pre and Post Operative Physio

    Whether your surgery is planned or unexpected we can help you.

    If you have a period of time leading into your surgery it is helpful to check in with the physio to maximise your current level of function in effort to boost the effects of surgery. For example if you are having a planned totally knee replacement it is helpful to know what exercises are currently beneficial to optimise your muscles which need to be strong post operatively.

    When is a good time to access physio post operatively? As soon as possible, but usually around 2 weeks post op is a good time to start working together

    You will be assessed and given advice about movement, how much to do and how little to do, alongside treating the body area. The focus will be on maximising range of movement and muscle strength. You can expect a tailored exercise programme which will be appropriate to the stages of healing

  • Joint Pain

    Joint pain can be very impacting, whether it be a large joint such as your hip, knee or shoulder, or a smaller joint such as your wrist. Having assessed the problem, and reached a diagnosis we will use soft tissue and joint techniques aimed at reducing pain, restoring range of movement and then go onto focus on strength gains and analysis of movement patterns.

  • Neck Pain

    We will assess your neck and identify the source of pain. You will be treated you using joint mobilisation, soft tissues techniques to address areas that maybe holding tension, and use acupuncture where appropriate.

    Neck pain may also include headaches, pain across the top of your shoulder, these will all be considered in the assessment.
